Computer Controlled Machining

Introduction
This week assignment was to make something big with the CNC

For my assignment i decided to make a press fit chair the chair was made up of two main parts i designed the parts using inventor as shown below:

I then assembled the chair to ensure all dimensions were correct and the press fit allocation were exact

I then progressed to export my parts into dxf format respectively, I used DWG true view to view the 2D parts and also Corel draw.

In corel draw i arranged the parts to fit into the block of wood I was to fabricate from, which was a block board measuring 4ft by 8ft.

I then progressed to generate the G-Code for the machine using the Velocity CNC software, since my designs were in dxf i had to indicate the thickness before generating the G-Code. I set the origin for the CNC and specified the speed paremeters then begun machining.
