Applications and Implications

Introduction This week we have Two main assignments: Propose a final project masterpiece that integrates the range of units covered, answering the questions below.See the Final Project Requirements page for a complete list of requirements you must fulfil. What will it do? The final project is about a smart coffee table. The coffee table will have several power outlets to ease distribution of power within the living room. The coffee table will also have an interactive design that will boost the aesthetics of the room in lighting. The coffee table will also have power monitoring capabilities.

Who has done what beforehand? The coffee table incorporates the idea of an infinity mirror in lighting which has been done before in different settings.

The design specifications are based on the specifications of coffee tables within the household setup, i.e. coffee tables should be two-thirds the size of the sofa within the the living room, the height of the coffee table should be adequate enough for placing items in use. The table should be strong enough to support specified common weight.

What is the schedule? -Develop designs within 2weeks.
-Proceed to electrical and control design.

-Produce the electrical board and test run it

How will it be evaluated? -By the expected outcomes at the start of the project.
