Designing a machine: Mantis 9

A tool made by/for you

Getting your own machine for digital/personal fabrication is possible, and one example is Mantis 9, a 3-axes CNC milling machine created by David Carr from MIT. Years ago, in order to get something, the person had to buy machines or products; nowadays, we are able to design what we need and fabricate it with more accessible technology/cost.

Another important fact is the documentation of the process through videos and images , so that students and other users can be part of the assembling, understanding how it works and its applications. We can also find other models of machines like the MTM A-7 PCB Mill, Fab Mate, and more.
